About thestock.space
A free, calm stock screener covering every company listed on NSE and BSE, built for people who want to read the numbers for themselves.
What it is
thestock.space lets you screen about 5,500 NSE and BSE companies on 85 metrics, build your own AND/OR/NOT queries, start from 30 ready-made screens, browse 114 indices and every industry, and read each company’s statements, peers and shareholding. You can compare up to six companies side by side, follow the people who hold them, and set alerts on filings and prices.
Why it exists
- Good screening tools should not sit behind a paywall. The features that serious investors use every day (custom queries, ratio history, peer tables, alerts, exports) are here, free.
- A calmer interface. Fewer banners, no ads, no flashing tickers. The data is dense, so the page around it should be quiet.
- Every listed company. Not just the Nifty 500. Small and BSE-only companies get the same pages, the same ratios and the same peer comparisons, with blanks where the data genuinely does not exist.
- Numbers you can check. Every metric has a stated formula on the Methodology page, and every source is listed under Data sources. If something looks wrong, there is a “Report a data issue” button on each stock page.
Who it is for
First, do-it-yourself investors who already know what ROCE and EV/EBITDA mean and want a fast, honest way to filter and compare. It also works for people just starting out: figures have plain-language help text, and the methodology explains the terms.
What it is not
It is not a broker, an adviser or a tips service, and it is not registered with SEBI. It describes reported numbers; it does not tell you what to buy or sell. Please read the Disclaimer.
Who runs it
thestock.space is run by its founder, a sole proprietorship in India.
Contact
Questions, corrections, feature ideas, or a data request: contact@thestock.space. For a specific wrong number, the “Report a data issue” button on the stock page gets to us fastest, because it tells us which company and metric you mean.
