Highest dividend yield shares
paid to wait, sustainably
Yield above 2% from companies that can afford it: growing profits, payout under 100% and a dividend that is rising.
On 6 Nov 2026, the Highest dividend yield shares screen finds 43 companies on NSE and BSE. To pass, a company needs: Dividend yield above 2%; Dividend Payout below 100%; Profit growth 3Years above 10%; and 4 more conditions. The largest industry groups are Financial Services (17) and Capital Goods (4) out of 43 companies, with a median market cap of ₹25,438 Cr. Sorted by Dividend yield (highest first), the first three are PTL Enterprises, Balmer Lawrie & Company and Power Finance Corporation; 638 other companies could not be tested because data was missing.
A high yield is only worth having if the dividend keeps coming. This screen asks for a dividend yield above 2%, a payout under 100% of profit (the company is not paying out more than it earns), and net profit that has compounded at more than 10% a year over three years.
It also checks the dividend’s direction: the last 12 months’ dividend per share must be above the five-year average, and trailing profit must be at least 80% of last year’s, so a dividend that is about to be cut is less likely to slip through.
